Matthew Massey, PharmD – Owner
A Franklin County, Alabama native, Matthew earned his PharmD from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy in 2003. In 2005, he purchased a local pharmacy and rebranded it as Massey Drugs—launching the compounding division the same year. Under his leadership, the pharmacy added a sterile compounding lab in 2021 and expanded into a multi-state operation. Today, Matthew and his team continue to lead with a focus on clinical excellence, patient care, and innovative pharmacy solutions. He is married to Kelly, and they have three children.
Brad Bowling, PharmD – Dir. of Compounding
A graduate of Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy, Brad earned his PharmD in 2012 and began his career serving the community at Family Pharmacy of Littleville. After five years in retail, he transitioned into nuclear pharmacy, where he gained extensive experience in sterile compounding—first on the night shift, then during the day preparing high-precision medications. In 2021, Brad joined Massey Drugs with a focus on growing the pharmacy’s sterile compounding division. His passion for pharmacy began in high school through HOSA, where he shadowed pharmacists and developed a deep respect for the profession. Outside of work, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing golf, and being outdoors.
Anna Long, PharmD
A Florence native, Anna discovered her passion for pharmacy while working part-time at Kmart’s pharmacy during high school and college. After earning her pharmacy degree from Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy in 1994, she began her career at Milner Rushing Drugs, where she served the community until their retail operations ended. In 2022, she joined Massey Drugs, bringing with her decades of experience in independent pharmacy and a deep commitment to patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading across all genres, and spending time with her husband Chuck—and their beloved dog Zoey.
Alex Graben, PharmD
Alex began his pharmacy career as a technician at Massey Drugs while exploring future career paths. Inspired by his early experiences, he went on to earn his PharmD from Belmont University College of Pharmacy in Nashville. During his training, Alex completed rotations across a variety of pharmacy settings but always felt most connected to community practice. After graduation, he returned to Massey Drugs, where he accepted the opportunity to manage the Tuscumbia location. Known for his dedication to patients and his steady leadership, Alex has become a key part of the Massey team. Outside the pharmacy, he enjoys grilling, Halloween decorating, and making memories with his family on trips to Disney.
